If you’re a fan of the iconic ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy, there’s no better way to celebrate than by throwing a themed party that brings the magic of the movies to life. A Back to the Future Themed Party

First things first- What’s a ‘Back to the Future’ party without some iconic props? Create display stations featuring a hoverboard, a copy of Grays Sports Almanac (my favorite prop that I purchased on Amazon and it came with the bag and receipt as well! Found Here!), and framed newspapers with historical headlines from the movie. These props will serve as fantastic conversation starters and offer endless photo opportunities. You can find replicas online or, if you’re crafty, make your own!

And no ‘Back to the Future’ party is complete without a DeLorean. Renting a real DeLorean car will be the centerpiece of your event. Imagine the excitement on your guests’ faces as they see the iconic gull-wing doors open, inviting them to pose for photos and live out their Marty McFly fantasies. “Hydrate Level 4 Please”

Remember the futuristic Pizza Hut scene in ‘Back to the Future Part II’? Recreate that magic with Pizza Hut mini cookies wrapped in custom “Hydrate Level 4” stickers, in silver sleeves. The cookies were simple sugar cookies with white glaze, topped with green sprinkles for peppers and round red sprinkles for the pepperoni! Not one cookie was left after the party!

“Your Uncle Joey didn’t make parole again.”

As a nod to one of the movie’s most memorable moments, we served a replica “Welcome Home Uncle Joey” cake. Make sure the cake is prominently displayed and don’t forget to snap a few pictures before everyone digs in!

Don’t forget! No party is complete without a killer soundtrack. Create a playlist that includes the iconic tracks from the movie like Huey Lewis and the News’ “The Power of Love” and Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.”

Turn back the clock with a Café 80s table that features coozies cricuted with famous quotes from the movie. Some classic quotes- “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads” or “Nobody calls me chicken” or “Say hello to your mom for me!” The guests absolutely got a kick out of this idea. We served root beer floats in the classic diner style plastic cups to complete the Café 80’s station!

To keep the energy high, organize some themed activities. Set up a trivia game with questions about all three movies. Award prizes like mini hoverboards, DeLorean keychains, or ‘Back to the Future’ T-shirts. Another fun idea is to host a costume contest, encouraging guests to come dressed as their favorite character from any of the movies. Whether they show up as Marty, Doc, or even Biff, it’s sure to be a hit!

Throwing this ‘Back to the Future’ party was something I always wanted to do. My family and I had sooooooo much fun planning it! We all love all 3 movies, and it was the perfect way to celebrate my 40^th Birthday! Renting the DeLorean really made it special and creating the movie props and themed snacks, every detail contributed to an unforgettable experience.
