You’re Killin’ Me Smalls: A Sandlot Themed Birthday Party

Welcome to “DIY’ Birthday Parties! On a budget! The idea is to be able to throw an awesome Birthday party- without having to hire someone or break the bank!

My Nephew is a huge fan of the movie “The Sandlot” so we decided to throw him a birthday party with a “Sandlot” theme. It took place at the local little league baseball field! Check out the details of this awesome party, from custom t-shirts to baseball cookie cakes that looked like baseballs, we have everything was covered!

Most of the party goers were on my nephew’s little league team so they got their numbers on these personalized t shirts. If a party guest didn’t play baseball, they got to pick their own number!

We wrote “Cam’s Sandlot” in chalk to add a personal touch to the field! It came out perfect!

It was a perfect day for a baseball game 😊

After the national anthem, the boys split into teams and started playing a game of baseball. It was especially fun for the kids who have never played before!

After the big game it was time to head home for the after party. And most importantly dessert! Check out this Dessert Table! Cookie Cakes, Cupcakes, Baseball Sugar Cookies, and Swedish Fish! Yummy! The vintage banner was the perfect backdrop to bring it all together.

You can display special baseballs on these cute baseball bat holders! Like a 1^st homerun ball, etc.

My sister made a personalized Sandlot sign, but there are nice ones that can also be purchased online and displayed for décor at the party.

All the food served was concession stand related. We went with popcorn, nachos, soft pretzels, hamburgers and hot dogs! It was a sunny day, so the pictures didn’t come out great, but the boys loved it all!
